The Hotel Erika in Dorf Tirol

Our grandmother Mair took over Pension Erika in the 1960s, and since then the Nestl family has turned it into one of the top 5-star Spa & Relax Hotels in South Tyrol. Guests who spent their holidays at Grandma Mair's are still coming to the Hotel Erika. We’re delighted that children and grandchildren of these regular guests keep coming back to us and still love the charm of the Hotel Erika.
Several generations of our guests and of our family are continuing the tradition.

Our timeline: from guesthouse to 5-star hotel

from 1960 onwards. Pension Erika
1974-1975: Conversion
1975: Opening of the 80-bed Hotel Erika
1978: 2. Conversion – the former guesthouse becomes the Hafling Trakt
1986: The 25th anniversary of the Hotel Erika sees the construction of an underground car park with tennis court
1987: Opening of the underground car park and tennis court
1989: Extension of the terrace – basement
1992: Extension of the garden and construction of the pool bar
1994/95: Annexe to the "Goldnestl" wing
1996/97: Hall and reception area remodelled and the Sonnenreich wellness facilities opened
1999/2000: Ortler rooms renovated
2001/2002: Wellness office created
2002/2003: The wooden house with suites is opened, along with 2 additional outdoor pools and the relaxation garden
2004/2005: Different rooms renovated and new bathrooms installed in the Mutspitz rooms
2005/2006: New swimming pools, relaxation areas, garden, fitness centre and children's club
2007/2008: Renovation of the "Barstuben" and Hirzer, Himmelbett and Mutspitz room types
2009/2010: Renovation of the main wing – new Olive room and observatory – new roof – solar panels, photovoltaics, new buffet area
2010/2011: New construction to create the Villa Luna rooftop suite – New roof and exterior façade of the Goldnestl wing – New Limonaia restaurant
2012: New Mediterranean sauna park with 3 different outdoor saunas – Sauna Botanica, Sauna Olives and Sauna Vulcano.
2013: Sauna area redesigned with 7 different saunas – Erika guests can now enjoy 10 different saunas. Kids’ club gets a new exterior design
2013/2014: Renovation and new construction of the Cypress rooms and remodelling of the beauty farm with new cosmetic cabins.
2014/2015: New Erika house bar, new buffet area and refurbishment of the dining room
2015/2016: New Pergola room type, new reception area and new entrance hall
2017/2018: New swimming pool fun area with clothed sauna, New children's club with sports hall
2018/2019: New Gioia family room, sauna lounge with new Sole e Mare and Jungle saunas
2019/2020: New Erika Lumina Spa, new Vista, Stella and Limone rooms, new hotel entrance and La Loggia lounge, new Olivo restaurant
2020/2021: Renovation of the Waldstimmung suites for relaxation, Renovation of the two Felicità penthouses and new Fiore & Allegria family suite were created and new Technogym fitness equipment
2021/2022: Redesign of the dining room and terrace and Wolke Sieben room types
2022/2023: Redesign of the outdoor area in the Kids’ Club with game trail and trampoline, staffroom and the last section of the restaurant was modernised and adapted
2023/2024: Renovation of the bar, renovation of the indoor pool
