When hiking, there’s always plenty of interesting to discover in nature for hikers young and old. As you stroll through Dorf Tirol, you’ll find your gaze drawn to the magnificent birds of prey from the bird care centre that soar over the Merano region.

For family hikes, there are the 2-hour themed trails or the Waalwege the trails that run alongside the irrigation channels in South Tyrol. A tour along the old Dorfwaal starts right next to us in Dorf Tirol. Or hike directly from our family hotel via the Farmerkreuz to the nearby Schloss Tirol, the ancestral castle of the Counts of Tyrol from the 11th century.
