Dorf Tirol has lots of exciting mountain bike trails. If you just want to take it easy, you can ride on one of the South Tyrolean valley cycle paths. Highlights here are the Passeier Valley and the Vinschgau Valley.

A little help from a motor makes it easier to tour through the mountains. E-mountain bikes are available at the Hotel Erika (hire for a fee). Our e-mountain bikes are state of the art.

Mountain bike tours in Merano

Moderately difficult to challenging: Starting from Dorf Tirol, a 17.6 km tour in the Spronser valley. The tour first leads to Kuens and Riffian, then up to Gfeis and onto the Merano High Mountain Trail. Along the single trail to Longfall and back down the valley to the Tiroler Kreuz and Dorf Tirol.
Moderately difficult to challenging: Starting in Dorf Tirol, go past the Tiroler Kreuz up to our local mountain, the Hochmuth, and on to the impressively situated Muthöfen mountain farms, where you can stop for a drink or a bite to eat.
Leisurely family bike tours: Etschtal cycle path, which leads from Vinschgau via Merano and even on to Verona. From the Reschen Pass in Vinschgau to Merano it’s around 80 km. You will be cycling parallel to the historic Alpine trade route the Via Claudia Augusta. Of course, you can also start in Merano and cycle a section of the Adige Valley cycle path.
